Today was PJ day at school. It was fun to see everyone wearing their favorite pajamas, parents too. The Imagineers also had a visit from CleanScapes. We learned about recycling, what items we can recycle and what we should compost or put in the garbage. We also learned of the different ways items can be reused or remade into something else. The classes have been to several field trips including the yearly visit to The Farm, tumbling at Cascade Elite Gymnastics and of course the always exciting visit to the Seattle Center to visit the huge holiday train followed by a trip on the monorail to ride the holiday carousel

The Imagineers - Farm Field Trip

Last Thursday, the Imagineers class had their annual trip to The Farm for pumpkin hunting, animal petting and all around fun. What a difference a year makes! The Imagineers went to the Trout Farm during "T" week. The kids had a great time, when they weren't a little freaked out like their parents anyhow.There were fish caught by all, and of course a little puddle jumping to top it off.

Today at school we were all in this plane on a trip to the Jungle (over and over in fact)! Thankfully we had a lion, a co-op preschooler, a police officer, and Buzz to aid us on our adventure!

I love that on any given day at SCP the kids are endlessly busy with so many different things. An Afternoon Spent with Friends

One of the perks of becoming an Inventor is you get two new friends in your classroom. Clopsy and Mopsy. Clopsy and Mopsy are horses, a horse backback and horse puppet to be presise. Fire Fightin' Fun!

The Imagineers dudded their fire fighter gear over at the Shoreline Fire Department Fire Safety Center and learned all about fire safety. The kids were quite attentive to the fire safety video the educator showed. We've had a fun time at SCP the last few weeks doing lots of Halloweeny activites:hammering nails in pumpkins, driving monster trucks around the "pumpkin patch", "cooking" Halloween cookies, painting, stamping, drawing on, stickering and more on paper pumpkin, making marble painted spider webs, reading all sorts of Halloweeny books, singing and saying Halloween songs and rhymes, and dressing up!

We are happy to welcome the newest pet visitor to our class, the lovely "Chewy" the tarantula. Chewbacca is Lisa and Zoe Good-Brummer's golden knee tarantula.
